My name is Arthur Boustead.

This is what I do:

I am a self-employed tradesman and have been in business for approximately 35 years (for the last 20 years in partnership with my wife who is a designer).

Both of us originally studied at art school - when I left I trained as a carpenter with an older craftsman. My business now encompasses small building works, interior conversions and alterations; including high-quality bathroom and kitchen work; building and decorating of bedrooms and home-office facilities.

I also undertake complete small barn conversions; the property has to be ‘interesting’ as a building before we consider it; we like to make use of existing details and to allow original structure to dictate what is possible.

I like to think that I only work to very high standards - all my work has come from personal recommendations over the years.
